§ 152.55. Driveways.

All driveways on any new home or lot in any subdivision shall be brought out to the city street or curb. In addition, construction of the driveway shall conform to the following:

(1)

The driveway shall be no wider than 12 feet from property line to city street or curb.

(2)

All driveways should have sufficient drainage over or under the driveway.

a.

If drainage is over the driveway, the driveway shall be at least six inches above bar ditch grade or at curb height.

b.

If drainage is under the driveway it must be of sufficient capacity to carry the flow of water and not cause a crossover onto a street.

c.

If the driveway extends across city utilities, the same shall have expansion joints put in accordance with city specifications.
